Let the EXPERT guide you how to
ease your survey research & educational measurement using Rasch Model!
Who should perform Rasch analysis?

A researcher who is developing items of a test or questionnaire and intends to sum the scores on the items can use Rasch model analysis to check the degree of which this scoring and summing is defensible in the data collected.

Rasch measurement is potentially relevant whenever an assessment or questionnaire is
constructed to measure the degree of some property inherent in persons or other entities.

» Hands-on teaching workshopstyle.
» How to use WINSTEPS software for analysis using Rasch Model.
» Able to analyze data using Winsteps.
» Knowledge on how to change data from ordinal to interval.
» Conducted in the small group, not more than 30 people.
» Rasch model is the only item response theory (IRT) model in which the total score across items characterizes a person totally.
» The simplest model that hasminimumnumber of parameters for the person (just one), and just one parameter corresponding to each category of an item.
» Rasch estimationis robust against missing data.
» To check the degree of this score and sum is defensible in the data collected.
» To check how well the data fit the model.
» To diagnose very quickly where the misfit is the worst.
» To try to understand this misfit in terms of the construction of the items and the understanding of the variable in terms of its theoretical.development
» To be in dynamic and interactive control of an analysis.
» To be able to follow the evidence to see where the responses may be invalid.
» To analyze categorical data such as answers to questions on a reading assessment or questionnaire responses.
» Rasch analysis applied to assessments including health studies, education, psychology, marketing, economics & social sciences.
» The speaker (Dr.AkbariahMahdzir)has 13 years of psychometric research experience
» Her precise interests are on the aspects of instrument development and validation with the application of Rasch Model and Structural Equation Modelling
» 3 times meals
» Payment by LoU or LO is accepted
» Certificate and receipts are provided
